About Dr. Tomás Villen Villegas

Tomas is an Emergency Medicine Attending at Hospital Universitario Ramon y Cajal, and Associate Profesor and Director of POCUS Curriculum at the School of Medicine of Francisco de Vitoria University both in Madrid. He serves as well as Chair of the Ultrasound Section of the Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine and as General Secretary of WINFOCUS. He has been involved with point of care ultrasound from his 2007 Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, internationally teaching in over 250 courses, lectures and conferences. He authored several articles and books and his current areas of interests are thoracic ultrasound (echocardiography and lung ultrasound) and POCUS in Medical Education.
