About Professor, PhD Lene Terslev
Professor Lene Terslev, PhD, graduated from Copenhagen University in 1994 and completed her PhD on the use of ultrasonography in inflammatory arthritis in 2004 with a dissertation from Copenhagen University. Since 2010 she has been the head of the Rheumatology Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Unit at Rigshospitalet, Glostrup, Copenhagen. Lene Terslev has been involved in musculoskeletal ultrasound since 1999 and is a faculty member of the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) sonography courses, past chair of the EULAR Standing Committee of Musuloskeletal Imaging and co-chair of the Outcome Measures in Rheumatology (OMERACT) ultrasound working group.
Her educational and research interest focus on the standardization and certification in musculoskeletal ultrasound and the development of ultrasound as a clinical tool for crystal disease, vasculitis, rheumatoid arthritis and spondyloarthropaties including psoriatic arthritis. She has published more than a 130 papers on ultrasound and rheumatology, including book chapters in the field.
