Dr. Mark Maybury

Mark is a NIHR Birmingham BRC funded Physiotherapist/MSK Sonographer, and Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham working for the Rheumatology Research Group at the Arthritis Theme of the NIHR Birmingham BRC, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.

His main interest lies around diagnostic and interventional MSK ultrasound, and currently, he is training to perform ultrasound guided synovial biopsies under the supervision of Dr Andrew Filer, Consultant Rheumatologist and Reader in Translational Research, whilst performing protocol ultrasound scanning for a number of rheumatology research trials, and supporting MSK ultrasound training (diagnosis and intervention) for the Clinical Research Fellows at the unit.
